Camping & Parking

Parking is extremely limited at the EVENT (Stawamus Chief Park). We recommend everybody carpool and arrive at EVENT (Stawamus Chief Park) before 8AM. ***parking lot is usually full after 8AM***

 

Squamish has amazing campgrounds. But camping is extremely limited during summertime.

Please reserve campgrounds in advance for yourself and your friends to make your stay as enjoyable as possible.

At the Chief: Stawamus Chief Provincial Park Campground – BC parks site, camping fees

3 minutes south: Klahanie Campground – private business, camping fees

5 minutes north: District of Squamish Municipal Campground – public site, camping fees

7 minutes north: Mamquam River Campground – non-profit site, camping fees

10 minutes north: Mtn Fun Basecamp – private business, camping fees

14 minutes north: Alice Lake Provincial Park Campground – BC parks site, camping fees

19 minutes north: Cat Lake Recreation Site – public site, camping fees

19 minutes north-west: Paradise Valley Campground – private business, camping fees

19 minutes south: Porteau Cove Provincial Park Campground – BC parks site, camping fees

20 minutes north: Chek Canyon Recreation Site – public site, no fees, major sport climbing location

28 minutes north-west: Squamish Valley Campground – private business, camping fees

 

*Wild camping or Van camping are not allowed within the City. Authorities actively tow vehicles, give tickets, wake up people during the night. Wild camping or Van camping is only allowed on Crown Land (More Details).
