Within the last year, I moved from the southeast quadrant of the USA to the northwest quadrant of the USA, and you can guess that the rock is very different between the two areas but really awesome in both places! Being up here is special though, because never has it been so easy to travel (internationally!) to a world-class climbing destination– Squamish. For us going to RAMPAGE was as easy as telling the border guard that the purpose for your visit is “bouldering”, and then letting the misunderstanding slide when he hears you’re going to Canada to go “bowling.” At RAMPAGE last year, we were able to boulder on sticky and textured granite mere hours after it rained. We were also able to meet a ton of new climbing friends… One of whom is now my roommate! #rampagechangeslives. RAMPAGE reminded me of a series of huge climbing events close to my heart in the southeast… the triple crown. If you are looking for a fun competition with a friendly atmosphere, chill people, and great rock — RAMPAGE is definitely the answer for this region. Climb with your mind, climb with your heart!
